Oooops, I Have Fallen Behind....

Well, this has been the longest break between posts since I began blogging. I really have no excuses, other than the fact that they still haven't added a few extra hours to each day. Anyway, I thought I would give everyone a very broad overview of what has been going on the last few months.

The majority of my time had been spent doing one of three things: work, school work, and community work. So, basically, it is all different forms of WORK. But, I enjoy it and that is what matters. During this past Fall, I took the first course of my Masters of Public Administration from Dalhousie. It was Research Methods and I am currently enrolled in my second, Financial and Managerial Accounting. The course work takes up most of the weekends. Hey, only 12 more to go :-)

Community work mostly involves the Boards/Committees I am currently sitting on: Fusion Saint John Inc., Centenary Queen Square Care Centres, BCAPI Education to Employment, Saint John Volunteer Centre, Greater Saint John Community Foundation Environment Committee, PRO Kids, Vibrant Communities Education to Employment, Domestic Violence Community Action Group, Victim Services and more. A lot of work has come from Fusion through my involvement in the creation of the "12 Wonders of Saint John" calendar which are still available for $10 (1$ going to Skate Park). There is also starting to be more activity with PRO Kids as the Annual Fundraising Dinner draws closer.

For those of you who have read my posts in the past.....my tooth/jaw still keeps me in chronic pain. I have another appointment tomorrow to see about it.

The largest decision I will have to make over the next couple of weeks is whether I will be running for Saint John City Council again in May 2008. I am currently monitoring my work load and consulting with supporters and will make a decision in the very near future. I only get involved with activities when I feel I can really contribute and make a difference. With our new electoral system in Saint John, I suppose I will also have to decide whether to run in my Ward or At-Large. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Anyhow, that was a quick update on the state of affairs in my life. Overall, things have been good and I am looking forward to some R&R in Charlottetown this coming weekend.

Take Care!
