The Final Week of the Campaign

Hello Everyone,

Well, this will be the last post in relation to the Municipal Campaign. There is only one week to go. The major event coming out of the last week was the Telegraph Journal At-Large Debate. I did very well and the crowd was very supportive. I actually had to stay for 45 minutes afterwards to talk with all the people waiting to congratulate me. Since then, I had received numerous emails and calls of support. There is a definite appetite for change out there. I heard it the night of the debate and I have heard it on the doorsteps repeatedly.

I have taken vacation from work for the final week of the campaign and will be doing a lot more door to door and attending some special functions.

My main message to everyone reading this is that they continue to spread my name around. Unfortunately, municipal elections become about name recognition and not about quality candidates. A few candidates have name recognition on their side and we must overcome this advantage. So, please, spread my name and my ideas (http://www.dannyjardine.com/) onto anyone living in Saint John that you know.

The final day for advanced polls is on Monday, so please take advantage of these polls and get out to vote early. Also remember, you do not have to vote for two at-large candidates if you feel you want to strongly support one.
